As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our customers’ IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, firmware patching, and corrective maintenance activities to optimize system performance and minimize downtime. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure components, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You will also need to manage and work closely with our vendors to deliver our best services to our clients. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and other critical hardware.
  • Plan and execute firmware patching and upgrades to ensure the security and stability of infrastructure systems.
  • Respond promptly to customer-reported incidents and perform corrective maintenance to resolve issues and minimize service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, system configurations, and best practices.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of infrastructure improvements, including capacity planning, performance optimization, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • To plan with customer on Preventive Maintenance schedule for servers under MA.
  • To do break fix for servers, storage and tape.
  • To perform Firmware patching for HW.
  • To perform OS patching when required.
  • To support Account Manager in sizing if necessary.
  • To do min implementation if necessary.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the infrastructure team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to IT infrastructure management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Min 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, with a focus on preventive maintenance, firmware patching, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting server hardware, storage systems, and networking equipment from leading vendors (e.g., Cisco, Dell, HP, NetApp).
  • Experience with firmware patching tools and processes, including vendor-specific utilities and automated patch management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices, with experience implementing security controls and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
