Job Description & Summary

A career within Regulatory Risk and Compliance services, will provide you with the opportunity to help companies rethink their approach to risk and create a sustainable risk advantage. We’re a part of a unique client proposition, assisting our clients develop proper internal controls by leveraging analytics and technology solutions to underpin efficient execution of governance, to optimise their risk and compliance policies and processes, and improve business performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will work as part of a team of subject matter experts with extensive industry experience to assist with helping client in project implementation and solving complex business issues from strategy to execution. 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Understand and stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements, guidelines and frameworks pertinent to the financial industry

  • Perform in-depth analysis around key requirements of the project and regulatory changes. 

  • Defining and establishing the golden source for each data attribute required for reporting.

  • Defining the scope or requirements in standard documents/process flow diagrams/use case diagrams or equivalent to secure signoff from stakeholders.

  • Pro-actively engage, manage, and build trusted relationships with both technology (including vendors) and business stakeholders.

  • Be part of the test team during the testing phase by assisting in issue analysis and resolution. 

  • Identify risks & issues and communicate them to the relevant people in a timely manner and to assist with proposing and planning mitigating steps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, statistic, information technology or equivalent. 

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a regulatory reporting business analyst in banking and financial service sectors would be preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. Attention to details. Validate data and analysis for accuracy and relevance.

  • Good verbal and written communication skill in English.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to take initiative without always being directed

  • Demonstrate strategic and creative thinking, problem solving, and taking initiative.

  • Positive attitude to learn and strong team player.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritise the most critical tasks and projects.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.

  • Experience with regulatory reporting systems/software is a plus.
