AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We are looking for a builder who has a thirst for knowledge and is equally adept at solving complex commercial problems and presenting a compelling C-level presentation to a prospective customers and partners. As a sales specialist you will bring a business savvy and technical background necessary to help establish Amazon in South East Asia as a key technology platform provider for VMWare workloads. AWS is leading the next paradigm shift in information technology and is looking for world-class candidates to join AWS Migration & Modernization Team as an VMWare Sales Specialist. You will play a key role in accelerating the Cloud Migration & Modernization journey, while identifying opportunities to adopt AWS Cloud with these customers and develop repeatable strategies to modernize customer’s IT infrastructure. You will communicate the modernization proposition for AWS cloud to a broad audience of IT, business & finance leaders at AWS. You will work with partners and other groups within AWS to give customers the best insights into how to run their applications on AWS cloud, in the most cost-effective manner.

Key job responsibilities
– Create & articulate compelling value propositions for AWS Migration & Modernization and VMWare workloads on AWS.
– Meet or exceed the assigned sales revenue targets.
– Defines, builds and deploys sales campaigns & programs to migrate and modernize on-premise, virtualized or other cloud Infrastructures to AWS environments..
– Engages in senior level customer meetings to discuss customer’s business issues and explores how AWS Modernization can help address and resolve customer issues.
– Manage business with the senior management regarding progress for strategic initiatives.
– Demonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
– Experience selling core SAP applications and technology.
– Prior experience growing SAP businesses, experience working with SAP partners and the SAP ecosystem.
– Track record of building rapport with C-Suite customer executives. Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
– 25% travel required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience
– Experience developing detailed go to market plans
