In the Technology Project & Platform Delivery team, scrum masters act as servant leaders for designated agile teams. Your ability to coach and mentor teams to obtain a strong understanding of agile values, principles and practices is critical. You will work with teams with the goal of leading them to become self-organising and high performing, with the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions at a sustainable pace.

The position will require you to facilitate agile ceremonies, support Product Owners to manage the backlog, and coordinate your teams’ sprint deliverables. In this role, you are expected to help your teams remove blockers that impede the progress of their work.

As a scrum master, you must also be able to effectively and efficiently engage business to understand their business strategy and product requirement to propose a build & implementation strategy that can meet their needs. The scrum master is also expected to guide the team to ensure scalability and compatibility of delivered solution across the Group.

You will be expected to navigate various dependencies and streams to achieve best outcome for the business within stipulated timeframe with resources provided.  

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor teams on agile values and principles.
  • Facilitate productive scrum events.
  • Develop creative ideas to keep the scrum events positive and energised.
  • Work with teams to ensure deliverables are of consistently high quality.
  • Help teams to remove blockers/impediments.
  • Coach teams to become self-organising and highly performant.
  • Investigate, challenge, and proactively suggest improvements to the ways of working.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
  • Work across teams and collaborate with other Scrum Masters as and when required.
  • Work with the agile community to improve and support the scaling of agility within the bank.
  • Support and challenge Product Owners to maximise value delivery of the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap.
  • Minimise interruptions to protect the team, and enable them to focus on the Sprint goals and commitments.
  • Foster a safe and trusting environment whereby issues can be raised without fear of blame or retribution.
  • Serves as the point of contact for external teams, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Build an environment where team members take ownership of their work and enjoy working together as a cohesive unit.

 

Qualifications

 

Requirement:

  • At least 10-13 years of relevant delivery experience in financial services environment, preferably in area of digital channels for Corporates.
  • Understanding of technology and development lifecycle – experience in both SDLC & Agile/SCRUM delivery.
  • Demonstrates solid technical background – to be able to guide engineers in building right, and in diagnosing technical issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly with attention to details.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including documentation and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable communicating across different business divisions and different levels of seniority in the organization.
  • Able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with business stakeholder and other subject matter experts to problem solving and influence outcome.
  • Demonstrate experience and the ability to work in a culturally diverse and geographically distributed cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrate ability to resolve complex problems effectively (systems thinking) and creatively (out of the box thinking).
  • Self-starter with excellent servant leadership and team building skills.
  • Proficiency in conversational Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
