Job Description:
Credit Research sits within the Global Markets Division and advises the Bank’s clients as well as sales and trading personnel, helping them to stay one step ahead of the market. The desk also liaises actively with multiple parts of the bank including Wealth Management, Private Banking and Risk Management in providing credit market intelligence.
This internship is non-converting, however if you join us as an intern, you will effectively operate as a permanent member of the team. You will be provided with real world practical work experience and responsibilities similar to a first-year research analyst that will position you positively for future internship opportunities including:
a. Content creation, including analysing market data and contributing to internal and external research publications.
b. Collecting information on both industries and companies, including maintaining financial models and spreadsheets of companies.
c. Distributing content and manage publication templates.
d. Attending external events including investor meetings and industry conferences in the capacity as a research analyst.
This role gives the successful candidate exposure to both technical (Credit Research/Investment Valuation) and inter-personal (team and individual work situations) skills as well as an opportunity to learn about other functions within the Global Markets Division.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Keen interest in Financial Markets
- Familiarity with financial statements
- Background in Accountancy or strong background in Finance or Financial Accounting
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or programming skills is a plus
- Must be able to commit to a minimum 6 months on full time basis
- Excellent written, reading and verbal English skills.
- Self-management to work unsupervised to complete tasks as required.
- Pro-actively contribute to team activities.
- Students in Accountancy, Business or Banking & Finance disciplines is preferred
