The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

Analytical support to facilitate CPM team’s active participation in order to help determine the Commercial Corporate & Institutional Banking (CCIB) strategy which aims to maximise shareholder value, identifies and creates areas of competitive advantage and aligns to the overall strategic direction of the wider business

Business Support for CCIB growth

  • Drive the measurement of frontline staff by measuring key metrics against the targets, to ensure that the risk return trade-offs get embedded in the performance culture.
  • Drive key business initiatives through the delivery of key metrics & insights from tracking of client/portfolio performances.
  • Support the Global/Regional Capital Allocation Forums by providing insights on portfolio trends, outcomes of capital decisions, and tracking of commitments made to drive accountability
  • Monitor the portfolio for any potential credit issues to highlight the need to reduce exposures through secondary distribution and /or hedging.
  • Engage with frontline relationship managers and regional CPM heads to address the issues related to RWA, ECL, Client returns and other MI.

Portfolio Analytics and Capital Management:

  • Work closely with team on database design, development and production of client dashboard, monthly management packs and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reports.
  • Support the team in the client and portfolio analytics as necessary for developing the various segment strategies aligned to the overall strategic direction of the CCIB
  • Support on low-returning relationship initiatives, institutionalising better capital allocation across clients.
  • Support the team on thematic analysis to assess the impact of macroeconomic/regulatory changes on the portfolio/client/industry reviews
  • Provide oversight on key RWA/ECL processes and ensure data integrity.

  • Group and CCIB Finance, Credit Policy, ERM, Product Heads of TB/FM/Lending, Relationship Managers, Credit Risk Control, Compliance, Integrated Middle Office and Operations
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10 years of experience in banking and financial services industry
  • Including relevant experience in data analytics, portfolio analytics, management reporting, etc
  • Graduate qualifications (or conversions): Bachelors or post-graduate qualifications in Statistics, Economics, MBA or other quantitative discipline   
  • Proven track record of working across functions such as Finance, Risk, Treasury, and business
  • Proficient in database management, data visualisation tools such as tableau and any statistical programming language (Python, SAS, SQL)
