Make an Impact by:

  • Support Engineer for the Singtel TV broadcast systems for Singtel TV, TV Go, CAST, Singtel Business TV, Optus Sports and cross – carriage services.
  • Supports three broadcast data centres onsite/remotely.
  • Service and system performance monitoring – proactive and predictive.
  • Service recovery of live services – headend, ingest and playout.
  • Event management – Major events (EPL, FIFAWC, EURO, national significant broadcast event).
  • Ops excellence – IT Disaster Recovery Plan exercise, IMDA regulatory compliance, and Security audit compliance.
  • Managing live content/sports event acquisition via satellite, fibre and IP delivery.
  • Work closely with the project and operations teams; and external parties in problem troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Perform system administration tasks such as system hardening, patch installation and inventory.
  • Create and updates technical reports and system documents.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Diploma in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
  • 2 years’ experience in the broadcasting/media industry. 
  • Good knowledge and experience in Ingest, playout systems and Media asset management system.
  • Understanding of live and file – based workflows.
  • Operation and maintenance of various SDI and IP – based broadcast systems (e.g. audio/video processors; audio/video broadcast monitor; graphics; subtitling; video routers; video transcoding; and video compression/transport)
  • Server, workstation and network troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • IT security compliance.
  • Experience in networking preferably CCNA certified.
  • Flexible with work time (To work on 12-hour shift, weekends and public holidays).
  • Able to do cabling work such as laying of cabling, fabrication of video/network cables.
